Probably did not look them in the eye. He probably had his shades on even though it was 9:00pm. Wonder if they stopped to buy him some depends on the way down. Probably no need, he planned this one about as well as the "astronaut". ;D Wonder what he said to his "buds" to get them to wear sunglasses on funeral day, so he didn't stick out like a sore thumb. First time in my life that I remember it being commented on was JFK's funeral. Jackie knew it was not exactly appropriate, but was forgiven. Bandit ETA: JLY is NO JBKO! So glad you added your ETA ... you had me worried for a few seconds there! Well, maybe they didn't stop for depends. Now I'm wondering if that towel he cried in the whole way down was wet from tears or from something else!

"Depends" must be standard issue every morning, and the way he drinks and messes around with married women...every evening. Bandit

BUT - that lead foot has never lead me to murder anyone. I really am trying hard now to slow down though. Especially if it proves jay boy to be a murderer. I WILL slow down. I don't want to murder anyone and am realizing that the old lead foot does have the possiblity of hurting or killing someone!

My theory is that he let every incoming call go to voicemail because he didn't want to talk to anyone. After he saw that a message had been left, he checked to see what the message was. This makes sense. But, since the SW's did include this info someone thinks this could be fishy. I know people who ignore calls and frequently check their voicemail after the message is delivered (I do this at work sometimes when I don't know the number). But, I don't see why this would be specifically included. I assume that since the SW stated this it must mean something important, but this alone isn't really a negative factor implying guilt....is it? This is standard for some people. IMO. I can see your point, from your view that this could add suspicion, but it seems minor and I was surprised it was listed on a SW.

It would seem suspicious if this was not a habit for him and occured on this one particular day.

I do pick up if I recognize it though. I'm not sure why you would be surprised that they listed it on the SW though. Police have a tendency to be extremely thorough. I was involved in an accident last week and when I pulled my drivers license out of my wallet ... the officer commented on the health insurance I use. The edge of the card was sticking out behind my license and he noticed it in a matter of seconds... just commenting that he had the same insurance. This guy was incredibly observant! They really don't miss much ... kind of scarey in a way but the guy was so nice to me, I wasn't uspset at all! I found that he actually made something horrific in my life into a not so horrible problem when all was said and done. I'll even add that the accident was my fault but he treated me so well and showed so much compassion towards everyone involved that it really gave me a totally different attitude of the work these guys do.

All those little 'minor things' that don't seem to mean much are just tiny pieces of the puzzle that will be presented to the jury in the form of a mountain of circumstantial evidence. At the end of the day, they will see that all those tiny pieces fit together and they all say ....Ahhha, Jason Lynn Young really is the killer.

BSN - any rumblings in that quaint little town of yours this week? Any strangers lurking about? The GJ meets again next week. Do you think they've wrapped up their local yokel interviews?

I have often wondered what it is like to live as Jason has for the past 19 months. He has had at least a couple of speeding tickets...that we know of. Bet he dies a little bit inside every time he sees blue lights in the rear view mirror.
What about when someone knocks on the door late at night or early in the morning, he knows it is coming, must be a fate worse than death.
I bet he almost jumps out of his skin every time the phone even rings, what an existence.
Not to mention the nightmares, and I am sure that there are lots of those. He may not be IN a real prison, but he IS in a prison of his own making.
How does he look that precious child in the eye? His life must truly be a living he!!.
Wonder if there is any Maalox left on the shelves of Brevard, or if he has already gulped it all down.
Really, really sux to be Jason Lynn Young, IMO.

Speaking of more, wasn't this the day he's to write a check to the new owners of the Birchleaf house? Or the bank? His bank account is slowly evaporating. First the house, next up - defense attorney.
And yet, he hasn't claimed that LI yet, has he?
