Of all the child abuse/murder stories in the media as of lately, I think the Brianna Lopez murder has touched me the most.
The details of what they did to her is just so horrific, but for some reason the fact that they didn't take one single picture of her in her whole short life is just CRAZY!
That just shows how little they wanted her in the first place! I'm shocked she even lived to be five months!
But to the trial - I don't really know a lot about the american system of law: what does it mean when the sentence is "overturned"? And what ended up being the case here?
Thank you.

Right with you Anja. I am a new Mom this really broke my heart. I have only read what the blog owner has posted so far and am waiting to see what happens to these sorry excuses for parents and family members that participated or knew and did nothing.

Congrats on your baby!
I understand that it's difficult for family members to rat out other family members - but they could at least have REMOVED Brianna from this horribel situation!
Another thing - the family have decided against giving her a headstone. Speechless.

Thanks for the congrats! We adopted and have only had her for 9 months and I cannot count how many photos we have of her. Your post made me even more incredibly sad. There is only one photo of Brianna, the autopsy photo and now there won't be a headstone for this little angel. It is almost like she never existed. I just don't get it.
